Ethan was moved to the EACH hospice in Milton Cambridge on 29th July. It really is such a lovely place, very friendly and homely set in wonderful grounds with one to one staff. The facilities for parents and families is wonderful with rooms to stay in if you wish, meals cooked for you!
Ethan is just so happy here, he really is becoming more and more like himself with each day that passes. His legs are still weak but he is moving them a little bit more and he is still on a lot of oxygen (over 2 litres) but he so happy playing and shouting all the time he doesnt seem to mind.
Ethan will be coming to me on 17th August which is the day after I move to Cambridge myself. EKK! My nephew Che is kindly packing up our stuff in Southend.
I have had the court case regarding residence and contact with Ethan and I now have sole residence. I am hopeful that Ethans father shall see Ethan soon, while he is reasonably well and not wait until he gets another virus.
Getting another virus will be very bad for Ethan and it is unavoidable. So it feels like we are on a countdown with Ethan. This winter will be hard. Discussions have been had with the hospicce about how I would like Ethans last days to be like. More meetings are to be planned.
In the mean time I will enjoy being with Ethan and am so grateful that I have had the time that I have had with Ethan, the good and the bad.
