We got transferred to Royal London on Wednesday 28th July for Surgery planned for 30th July. On the Friday 30th Ethans breathing became very fast and his O2 went up to 1litre. I made the nurses aware and they brought the doctors and surgeons to see Ethan. He was xrayed and it was discovered that the NJ had moved into the tummy and there was some consolidation signs in the top part of his right lungs, which could have been aspiration. The surgery was then called off and antibiotics were started. It proves that if it is picked up and steps taken we can avoid ITU!
The surgery is now planned 9th August, though the surgeons would like to do another PH study the day after. No nissens at the moment but we will see.

Yesterday I took Ethan to the sensory room at the Royal London. It is an amazing room with lots of lights and projectors! It was so relaxing and Ethan loved it! I liked the fact that you went in only one family at a time so you had privacy. It felt more normal and I could easily forget I was in hospital! Ethan was so calm! I am so looking forward to surgery Monday!
I spoke to Southend yesterday and a lovely nurse called Annie who has been trying to get what ever is needed for Ethans discharge sorted out before we get back to Southend. Sadly the PCN's have not been helpful and seem want to wait until we get back before doing anything. I am upset as this will delay his discharge by at least a week! Which feels like a year. Plus they should have ordered oxygen weeks ago when they said they would! It feels like they have made promises they could not keep!
