The memorial fundraising event on 23rd November was a great success with over £1100 being raised from the night. In total there has been over £2000 raised for EACH in Ethan's name. More will be on its way with more events planned.
The night was so much fun for all, the magician Michael Mcintyre (not the comedian) was brilliant. People could not believe their eyes! It was so kind of him to come, even after he had a mechanical emergency on the way! He turned up covered in oil, went to clean up and came back out to woo the crowd!
The night opened with music from Coloured by Numbers, in which my Dunecan plays and sings. Ethan loved CBN music and Dunecan's previous band Lippysound and he would often hum along to their songs, so it was fitting that they opened the show.
We then had music from Kyan Kuatois who was just brilliant! He also got some of the girls swooning! He brought with him his team including his mother, and it was nice to see so many people there supporting Kyan and learning about Ethan's story.
Brandon Cox then sang a few songs and he really got the crowd jumping! He did me so proud being my nephew and such a wonderful lad.
We then had music from Roger Roger who played a variety of they own take on pop songs, and it was great! Everyone was dancing and having fun!
Brandon then sang again before the night finished off with the Cambridge Blues Jam.
We had a face painter who painted the childrens and some of the adults faces, lots of balloons games and toys in the childrens room. There was cake and sweets for the children who loved the VIP room they had been given! The adults had hog roast.
I must say a huge thank you to all that took part, to Cambridge United Football Ground, To Star radio, BBC Cambridge, Cambridge News. To my family and friends for sitting on the door and helping set up. To Tracy, Julie, Jane, Kim Jenny, Sam and Catherine, my Dad, to Sara and Ruby my babysitters for coming along to help out as well. To Fiona and her Aunt for helping out on the door.
Cambridge Blue jam Chavdor for all of his help and members of the blues jam for coming along to support us.
A massive thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, you are all stars!
A big thank you to EACH.
David Smallman of STAR radio, what a huge star he is and such a lovely man. He really helped pull the night together and donated a raffle prize. He was there from start to almost finish and I can not thank him enough.
Finally a massive thank you to Dunecan for sorting the sound on the night, sorting the PA and just being wonderful as ever.
Another night will be happening, I just want to get Xmas out of the way before I start to plan.
THANK YOU ALL
