Ethan had another Great Ormond street appointment yesterday. It was to see why he has all of sudden started to be able to sick after his nissens/fundo back in December. He had a dye put into his stomach using his tummy tube (mic-key) - they pushed through a lot to see if they could get him to gag and show what has been happening but in typical Ethan way he did nothing apart from complain towards the end of a full belly! It was interesting to watch again, to watch the dye enter his intestines etc, I was able to look for certain parts myself with out being told what they were! I could see the "wrap" and they said it was intact which is great news. We saw the surgeon afterwards who said that he is happy with everything, he has not had any infections since the operation, but as he has started doing something new he would see him in 3 months time.
On my way out I bumped into the family services / social worker who had looked after me every time he has been admitted Tarryn. She was thrilled to see Ethan and amazed at how big he was - she wanted to know if the doctor who saw him back in April and last November - Dr Mark Peters had seen him and I said he hadnt but I would send an email. She then made me cry by telling he was this way because of me, because I pushed and fought. Whether it is true or not - it was a tearful moment.
Ethan is good still and rolling around the floor, still not crawling!
